Notes and Jottings

Well now, interesting evening, and mostly quite fun! Well firstly, work went on until 6pmish, but that’s fine, because things are happening, and projects are getting finished and all that, and that is such a good thing!

Besides that, well got into town, and Juan heyed me, and we ended up going off for food together. Partly because of my ambition to eat somewhat healthily, and partly because of Gill’s urging to go to get something with protein, I was eager to go to someplace better than Burger King. Juan almost threw a spanner in the works by initially considering Take 5, but common sense prevailed, and we tried Café Crepe (closed) before taking our meal at Wagamama. Very good stuff, I had my usual Chicken Katsu Curry, which I seem to have EVERY TIME. Oh well, nice stuff, and apparently it’s all good After that, went off to the cinema with Graham and Gill, went to see Heartbreakers, that film with whatsername and Jennifer Love Hewitt. The latter being quite a good looking girl, as any sensible guy would think Not a bad film, it was pretty brainless, but fun, and some bits were heartwarming, awwwwwww Now, that film lasted a biiiiit longer than I’d hoped, so I was just a bit late for meeting Dominic, Sara, Pauline and Andrew at the Long Stone. A *bit* late, as in it was 11pm instead of 10:15!!!!! Sorry everybody! Anyway I knew I was running late, so I actually got a taxi from O’Connell Street down to the Long Stone, and saw Dominic and Sara walking past as I was paying the driver. Got the two of them back into the pub, and had a great oul’ chat for another hour and a bit, very fun The three of us together makes for a very sarky evening though! But all in good fun Off to the Thing Mote then tomorrow at 9:30, can’t be late this time! And should be a fun night, the full night on the town, on the razz, whatever you want to call it! And then sometime later in the year, must go visit Dominic in Munich, should be fun! He says the cocktail bars are pretty good over there…

For anybody who wants to live in Florida, please bear this in mind! And don’t go near Ireland’s west coast Okay, it may take thousands of years to happen though!

Well our new NSP recruit Fiachna is already getting started with the jokes - I’ll try and report the best ones as the months pass - anyway here are this morning’s attempts:
In order to assure the highest levels of quality work and productivity from employees, it will be our policy to keep all employees well trained through our program of Special High Intensity Training (S.H.I.T). We are trying to give employees more S.H.I.T than anyone else. If you feel that you do not receive your share of S.H.I.T on the job, please see your manager.
You will be immediately placed at the top of the S.H.I.T list, and our managers are especially skilled at seeing that you get all the S.H.I.T you can handle. Employees who do not take their S.H.I.T will be placed in Departmental Employee Evaluation Programs (D.E.E.P S.H.I.T) Those who fail to take D.E.E.P.S.H.I.T seriously will have to go to employee Attitude Training (E.A.T. S.H.I.T). Since our managers took S.H.I.T before they were promoted, they do not have to do S.H.I.T anymore, as they are all full of S.H.I.T already. If you are full of S.H.I.T, you may be interested in a job training others. We can add your name to our Basic Understanding Lecture List (B.U.L.L.S.H.I.T). Those who are full of B.U.L.L.S.H.I.T will get the S.H.I.T jobs, and can apply for promotion to Director of Intensity Programming (D.I.P.S.H.I.T) If you have further questions, please direct them to our Head Of Training, Special High Intensity Training (H.O.T.S.H.I.T)

Okay, can’t reach the name servers for findlaterbook.com… so I guess this test will have to happen another time!

I shall be meeting Dominic this evening, probably in the Long Stone later on - as he works in Germany I don’t get to see him very often at all. But he’s over for the weekend, and it’ll be interesting to see how he’s getting on in BMW, have a chat etc. Wonder how all the rest of my class who aren’t in my social circle are getting on! Will check - hm I’ll see does anybody use alf2.com - Axel set it up quite a while ago…

Cubicles!!!
Cubicles, well now these are pretty sweet! Can’t say much for most of them though - thank goodness I’ve always worked in open-plan rooms…

Especially when I can’t sniffle at home in bed… grr to work for today. Anyway I can’t even look at food right now, to smell it… shiver
And Rod gave me two tablets of “Timed Release” Vitamin C tablets, apparently that’s about 3334% of the EU RDA of Vit C! Wheee. Well okay I don’t feel like that - should I?
And to think I was wanting to lose some small amount of weight - this could help…
