The end comes to possibly the last TASS talk of the year.
And a good talk it was. Obviously I’m a teeny weeny bit drunk.

In any case, it has been a very interesting last two weeks. Very very
interesting :-) Lots has happened, and lots will continue to happen over
the next few weeks, not excluding the infamous ski trip, very much
about to happen…

It’s been a long time

It’s been a long time since my last update - since then, my site has moved,
I still have to enable FTP access to the diary subsection of the site…
anyway that’s going in soon.

Pancake Tuesday tomorrow. Doesn’t it

Pancake Tuesday tomorrow. Doesn’t it really feel like Easter is really
really early this year?? Really?!! :-)

A euro sign to follow

A euro sign to follow - works in all character sets :-) € - ta daa! For the Erasmus student.

Something I didn’t get around

Monday, February 11th, 2002

Something I didn’t get around to mentioning last week was that I went
to the Strauss Ball in TCD last Tuesday - it was a wonderful night. Or
so says I as an extremely biased person who loves all that ballroom
waltzing and dressing up in a black tie outfit - all in the Dining Hall
of Trinity College Dublin. Well the last bit isn’t that important, but
the rest works well :-) It is just so much better than the Trinity
Ball!!!

ESR having a rant. Lots

ESR having a rant. Lots of good advice though. I just wish my
site wasn’t in the “pointless vanity pages” section - well maybe it isn’t. But
I won’t bet on it.

In opposition to The Sandman

Monday, February 11th, 2002

In opposition to The Sandman for my literary pursuits yesterday,
there was also Monsters, Inc.. Awwww it was SO cute! I loved it
so so much. It’s one to buy for ever, once it comes out on video/DVD…

I’ve read five of them

Monday, February 11th, 2002

I’ve read five of them since Saturday night - what is it?
The Sandman - a series of graphic comics by Neil Gaiman. And…
they are extremely imaginative and inventive. Interesting and gripping.
There’s the little matter of it showing the dark side of humanity quite
a bit often - not quite horror - but almost - sometimes. While that
wouldn’t usually be my thing (I don’t like horror movies OR books in
general), in this case the good far outweighs the bad. It’s not
Cardcaptor Sakura - in fact it’s so far out the other side of the
gamut of graphical comics - but it’s good.

Something completely ridiculous to follow…

Something completely ridiculous to follow…
I went over to L+R’s place at the weekend, with the intention of showing some
R1 DVDs - they were specially requested by Linda after all! But since
their DVD player can only play Region 2 DVDs, I had to bring over my DVD player
in a black bag!! And it was a long way to go…

Region encoding sucks.
