I’ve been looking at the coolest new features in Java 1.4 - as described
here
. The one that really made me go “ooooh” was the LinkedHashMap
class, which sounds really handy. I don’t know yet if it’ll be handy, but
it sounds like a good swiss army knife when you can’t choose between a Map
and a List… :-)

Yet another abortion referendum today. Surprisingly, Kuro5hin had an
article
and discussion about it… it’s an issue that I think hasn’t been
satisfactorily resolved anywhere in the world, so there is some interest
in it from overseas.

Niall has a copy of all the stuff the government have released, here on his
site
. Good, if lengthy, reading. Of course I have no time left to read them
all in comfort, polls close at 9, so I have to head home and get my polling
card etc…

Okay! The diary/blog/notepad thingy is back working again! So I can announce that Skitrip 2002 is happening just this Saturday! Wow, so so so close, that’s like just a bit over two days away. And Sunday morning, bright and early, we’ll all be on the slope of Doss 18, waiting to learn how to ski a little bit better again… :-)
