Was at Ger’s 21st birthday

Saturday, May 4th, 2002

Was at Ger’s 21st birthday party. Am drunk. Is that enough to say? His house
is quite nice, very nice pool room at top where I proved to everyone that I’m
extremly extremely bad at pool - think very bad and you’re at least 20% down
the road to the TRUTH. Oh well…

Oh the pain, oh the torture. Oh dear me, the lengths some people go to in court to avoid answering questions sometimes! (this link is MS-trial related)

It has been decided, well

Wednesday, May 1st, 2002

It has been decided, well provisionally anyway, that I
am going to visit Pauline either later this month or next month. Over in
Holland… looking forward to those cocktail parties on warm verandahs
that I’ve been promised…

Big “SOLD OUT” signs over

Big “SOLD OUT” signs over all the Trinity Ball posters for this year, and
over a week to go. Makes one wonder if one should try selling one’s
ticket for a substantial profit this year. But no, probably not. I’d mope
around all night feeling I was missing out on something :-)

Note to self: Pauline’s recommended

Wednesday, May 1st, 2002

Note to self: Pauline’s recommended Bob and Rose, a program
on ITV, and soon to return to TV. I have to keep an eye out for it,
I’m going to like it I’m told. So there.

I’ve started to watch Teachers

Wednesday, May 1st, 2002

I’ve started to watch Teachers on Tuesday nights. It’s an amusing
series - kind of comedic in appearance sometimes - but generally classifiable
as a normal weekly drama soap, like er but without the blood
(phew, no fainting me me this time).

Actually, one of the characters in the series reminds me of a person I know -
reliable, independent, a great friend - and cynical as hell sometimes ;-) Watch the series and see.
