Trinity Ball 2003

Tuesday, May 13th, 2003

TB2003 was good. Again :-) Feel really glad I went to it. Anyway many people may have read about the Trinity Ball in the context of it being a drunk-fest. And yes, for many people it is. It’s a personal choice. But in general, Irish society revels in large quantities of drink being sold all night. Don’t look so shocked!

My personal experience was more in the way of dancing until daylight! Helps to be in the company of confirmed dance-aholics ;-) Anyway, who wants to keep queueing at those bars? And those hot-dogs looked gross!

Photos? Here!

LWN: Patch: “Exec Shield”, new Linux security feature

Nice feature, seems to cover a lot of common cases, without a large overhead.

Amster Dam

Well, I’ve arrived in Amsterdam, after a horribly early flight over. Nothing much happening yet, but I’m off to look around the city, and go visit some windmills later! Where’s my lance… (literary reference, in case of misunderstanding)

Pauline’s still at work, so I’ll get to see her later on this evening, then as yet undetermined activities to follow.
