“The article from the New Yorker”:http://www.newyorker.com/printable/?fact/040524fa_fact that everybody must have read by now, and really implies that somebody in the CIA fired a broadside against poor oppressed Donald Rumsfeld (everybody say awwww). How long can Rumsfeld last now?

Hopefully! But there’s something ominous in all this, in how easy it can be for a group of people to pursue what seem like such obviously incorrect and harmful policies in politics, economics, ecology.
And even if Bush, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Cheney et al. are booted out for good, there is still a huge danger brewing (well it has been brewing for 50 years) over the rights of corporations, their huge power in the US, and the amount to which politicians can be beholden to them.
It’s harder to find a target then - because the whole political infrastructure is harder to get rid of than a few troublemakers…

ack. the ends justify the means. and morality is only relative. with the bar this low, it gives the demycrats tons of space to move to the right and better serve the businesses to which they are beholden.
