Our Just (Burp!) Desserts
In the US, people are wakening up to the fact that people are eating too much (surprise surprise!). And the same thing is happening in Ireland too. I can’t point to many surveys on this, but I am pretty sure I have seen them. Fast food restaurants, packs of biscuits, fatty foods… they’re all there, and tempting. I know myself how tempting they are, but trying not to succumb :-) It was a bit of a wake up call a while ago when I went to Abrakebabra, and the person behind the counter asked me if I wanted my usual (and he knew what that was). This told me I was going there too much; I didn’t go back for weeks, and started doing far far more cooking at home.
And to say with the linked article - what beats it all is Caesar Barber, who has filed lawsuits against a number of fast food chains for not telling him about the dangers of overconsumption. Some people…

Shopping is manna for the soul?

How often has one heard the phrase that shopping is good for the soul? Well I found that out today, when I went and bought a wonderful new Sony DSC-F717 camera - should be delivered on Friday - and it feels so good :-) It helps with the disappointment that I will not be going to the US (San Francisco) just yet…
Where did I get the camera? Pixmania.co.uk - they seemed to have good prices for the camera! And I did finally manage to get my digital camera before Gheorghe!
